Awesome piece, Eoghan. And 100% on board with this view. Attention to detail is what accounts for the difference between good and great. Or, put in another way, between putting in the work and caring, and putting in the work but not caring. And the more stupid and apparently insignificant the detail, the greater this difference. I have tons of stories myself on this, and I’m on the same wavelength as you. Thank you for writing this.
Thanks Silvio! That’s a great reframing - caring and not caring. I hadn’t initially thought about it like this but it makes complete sense. Caring about the details is more important than attention to the details.
Thank you as well for your support and reading my pieces over the past few months. I haven’t been active on comments but I appreciated ever like and comment none the less.
This is a fantastic story Eoghan. Stories like this are so useful and healing, just like a perfectly prepared prescription. Just the right number of pills here! Ha ha, no need to say more, Your attention to detail is paying off.
Thank you very much Rick! Great to hear you enjoyed it, great detail (and lots of counting) was taken.
Thanks for your encouragement and feedback over the last few months. I’ve been hiding my comments for some time now but finally finding my pace. And I appreciate your support along the way.
Great piece Eoghan. It reminds me of how the goal should be get 1% better every day. Small increments every day on things we may not think are making a huge change.
